You don't need to be fit, flexible, or experienced. You just need to show up.
your first visit
1. Book
2. SHOW UP. Your trainer takes it from there
3. Leave feeling better than you walked in
Your first class at Axis is coached from the moment you walk in.
We help you understand which classes make sense for where you are and what to expect from the reformer before you are expected to perform on it. Your first sessions have someone in the room who is paying attention to how your body is moving and what needs adjusting.
You are not left to figure it out alone.
The best way to start is a full month. The All Axis Pass gives you 30 days of unlimited classes across the full programme for $99, enough time to find your rhythm and actually feel the difference.
They'll walk you through the reformer, explain every movement, and tell you exactly what to focus on. Try different classes. Every class is 45 minutes.
Every session finishes with a guided recovery cool-down that resets your nervous system. You'll walk out feeling restored, not wrecked. (You might feel muscles you didn't know you had the next day. That's the good stuff.)
Start with Baseline
This is our Reformer Pilates class and the perfect entry point for everyone.
We help you understand what you are walking into, which classes make sense for where you are, and what to expect from the reformer before you are expected to use it. From there your sessions are coached with someone in the room who is paying attention to how your body is moving and what needs adjusting.
You might feel muscles you did not know you had. That is normal and it means the work is landing where it should.
Caitlyn was very encouraging and helpful in my first ever Pilates class as a very uncoordinated and inflexible beginner! Thank you!

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Pilates experience to start?
No. Most people who walk through the door haven't done Reformer Pilates before. Every class is coached from the ground up, so your first session is about learning the machine and the movement, not keeping up with anyone else in the room.
Which class should I start with?
Baseline. It's the foundational Reformer class and the entry point for everyone, whatever your training background. Once you've got a feel for the machine, you can branch into BSC, Agility or S-FORM depending on what you're training toward and wanting to achieve. We can help guide you on that.
How long is a class?
45 minutes, including a guided recovery cool-down at the end.
Where are you located?
We're on the first floor of The Red Centre which is on the Cnr of Capper Street and The Parade West. Map Here. You can park in the surrounding streets for free. There's normally parking available along The Parade West.
I already train elsewhere. Is this still for me?
Fabulous we love that. Axis is built to complement gym work, running, golf and team sport, not replace it. It's the layer that builds the stabilisers and movement control your other training doesn't always reach.
What happens in my first class?
Your trainer will walk you through the reformer, explains every movement, and tell you what to focus on. They'll give options and modifications as you need. We're here to support and guide you.
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel most comfortable in. Clothing that can move as you move is ideal.
Do I need to book?
Yes, spots are limited to 12 so you need to book to ensure there is a reformer available for you. The easiest way is to download our app (apple) or (android) to book in advance.
Will I be sore afterwards?
Possibly. You might feel muscles the next day you didn't know you had! That's a normal response to new movement patterns, not a sign anything is necessarily wrong.
